About the course
This course invites licensed massage therapists and educators into a sensory-informed, client-centered approach to relaxation massage inspired by the principles of ASMR—while remaining firmly within professional scope of the massage therapy practice. Participants are introduced to a unique massage experience that emphasizes practitioner presence, consistent pacing and pressure, repetitive and predictable massage strokes, smooth transitions, audio enhancements, and vibroacoustic elements. Together, these components create an ASMR-Inspired Massage experience designed to feel safe, intentional, and deeply calming for the client. Rather than focusing on technique alone, this course centers the client’s lived experience and explores how thoughtfully applied sensory inputs may support the body’s natural healing processes, particularly in relation to nervous system regulation. Learning is immersive and engaging, blending interactive lectures, live demonstrations, hands-on practice, real-world session examples, case discussions, guided meditations, and playful educational tools such as songs and games—because learning, like life, is an experience.
Robert Tiberend and Jenna Abbott
Robert Tiberend and Jenna Kate Abbott are respected massage therapy educators known for blending clinical skill, deep anatomy knowledge, and engaging instruction. With over 18 years of experience, Robert brings a rehabilitation-focused, empathy-driven approach shaped by his own spinal injury recovery. He is the creator of the Clinical Category at the American Massage Championships and a 2024 World Massage Festival Hall of Fame inductee. Jenna, an anatomy and research enthusiast, has taught since 2010 and is celebrated for making complex neuroscience and physiology approachable through creativity, humor, and multisensory learning. Together, they deliver inspiring, evidence-informed education.
